DESCRIPTION:The Toronto Railway Museum is pleased to announce the launch of On the Rails: The Experiences of Toronto’s Railway Workers\, a new digital exhibit. The online project is available to the public beginning on June 2\, 2023 and was developed with funding from the Digital Museums Canada investment program. \nOn the Rails explores the unique and everyday challenges of Toronto’s past and current railway workers. Hop aboard to discover the jobs of Canada’s sleeping car porters\, the behind-the-scenes duties at Union Station\, and other first-hand experiences of railway professionals. On the Rails presents these narratives through interviews\, photos\, and artifacts. \nEXPLORE THE ONLINE EXHIBIT HERE \n

Stop by to enjoy exhibits\, kids activities\, and the train simulator. \nSaturday\, March 16 Story Time \n2:00 PM – 5:00 PM \nSunday\, March 17 Story Time \n1:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nMuseum Store\nThe museum store in Don Station is back! Join us starting March 13 back inside Don Station to shop books\, toys\, and railway gifts. Learn more about the museum store. \nPlus! Visit the museum store on Saturday\, March 16 to meet artist Joseph Zhuang. The Toronto-based artist behind Joe Design Co.\, Joseph has designed several custom rolling stock artworks for TRM. \nGUIDED TOURS\nJoin us this week for a guided tour of our rolling stock – climb aboard and explore Toronto’s railway stories. Tours are dependent on volunteer availability\, and run at 12:30 pm\, 2:00 pm\, 3:00 pm\, and 4:00 pm. \n
